GWR Route: Stratford on Avon to Honeybourne
Stratford-on-Avon Racecourse Platform: gwr_src3157
Ex-GWR 4-6-0 Hall class No 6948 'Holbrooke Hall' is seen on
an evening Birmingham to Worcester service south of the platform on 14th April
1960. Built by Swindon works to Lot 340 in December 1942, No 6948 was to stay
in service until December 1963 when it was withdrawn from 85B Horton Road shed
in Gloucester to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
