Bearley North Junction outer home signal situated some ten chains West of Edstone viaduct seen facing Bearley on 6th June 1953. The concrete post again dates from the branch reopening in December 1922. The box mounted at the base of the signal contained a telephone which allowed the driver to contact the signalman Bearley North Junction Signal Box. The girders of an under bridge can just be discerned by the willow trees which carried the railway over Silsbourne Brook. Neals Crossing, was beyond whilst a fixed distant signal for the junction was located some ten chains behind the photographer.
