Birmingham Snow Hill - British Railways Period Locomotives: gwrbsh1245

Ex-GWR 2-8-0 class 28xx No 2809 is seen passing through Snow Hill station's up through road whilst at the head of a train of underground rolling stock on 6th January 1958. Built at Swindon works in October 1905, No 2809 was first allocated to Canton shed in Cardiff followed by the Severn Tunnel Junction shed on the dawn of nationalisation and then Newton Abbot shed in March 1950 to be withdrawn from Laira shed in January 1960 for scrapping.
