A track diagram and plans of the new Snow Hill station showing the arrangement of the various levels

A track diagram and plans of the new Snow Hill station showing the arrangement of the various levels. The construction of the station on a natural slope allowed direct access to be made to the Parcels Yard, Great Charles Street entrance, Livery Street entrance and subway at the lower north west end of the station, while at the south east end direct access could be made to the main booking hall at footbridge level through the Hotel and from the taxicab roads. These can be seen in the Basement plans and High level plans respectively. Two other entrances at platform level gave direct access to the non-passenger platforms from Snow Hill and Livery Street. The hatched line on the lowest plan indicates the extent of the glazed roof and the positions of the transverse girders which supported it.
