GWR 4-6-0 Saint class No 2981 'Ivanhoe' is seen running light engine through Snow Hill station on the up through line on 4th July 1936. Built at Swindon works in June 1905 No 2981 was to remain in service for another fifteen years before being withdrawn in March 1951 from Banbury shed circa 1951 to be scrapped at Swindon works.
