View looking towards Stratford upon Avon of Earlswood Lakes station shortly before opening in 1908 with the up platform on the right. Access to the station was via Station Drive which ran from Rumbush Lane to the main station buildings situated on the down platform. On the left the goods yard is still being built and can be seen behind the double gates which separated the yard from Station Drive. The water tower is to a standard GWR design and as can be seen was located behind the up platform buildings. The hard standing of the platforms were paved along the platform edge and to the full platform depth in front of and slightly to either side of each platform's building. The remaining areas of platform was apparently turfed not finished with a gravel dressing if the coloured postcard is to be believed..
