It was normal to find that only one platform contained a ladies waiting room and the platform was frequently the one which handled the majority of the departing passengers. It was also normally the case, but not always, to find the booking office was situated on the same platform. The reason for the two ladies waiting room might be perhaps because the GWR thought traffic from Earlswood would be as likely to head towards Henley in Arden and Stratford upon Avon as much as towards Birmingham.
