GWR Route: North Warwickshire Line
Henley in Arden - Original Station: gwrha2768
Henley-in-Arden had a brick built stable accommodating one
horse which was used both for shunting wagons in the yard as well as for
delivering goods to the local community. It was located adjacent to the cattle
pens. Whilst during the First World War one in eight of railway horses were
requisitioned by the army these would be from the larger goods stations leaving
stations such as Henley in Arden untouched as they could ill afford to lose
their one horse.
