GWR Route: Birmingham and Henley in Arden Railway Company

Lapworth to Henley in Arden Branch Line: gwrha2819

A contractor's train consisting of one open wagon carry a crew of approximately forty men poses for the camera. On the side of the three plank wagon, the second and third row of lettering appear to bear the legend 'Contractor' and 'Lapworth'. At the time of the building of the North Warwickshire Railway's Henley station the easiest access to the site would have been over the branch from Rowington.
