Great Western Railway's 1936 Map showing their five Railhead Distribution Areas in grey shade

This map of the Great Western Railway system, issued in 1936, showed their five Railhead Distribution Areas in grey shade and also detailed the various Country Lorry Service Centres across the rail network, from where radial distribution of goods could be arranged by the Company’s transport fleet. In Warwickshire, the Country Lorry Service Centres were located at: Warwick, Leamington Spa, Southam & Harbury, Henley-in-Arden, Stratford-on-Avon and Shipston-on-Stour stations.
