GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

A 1937 25 inches to the mile Ordnance Survey Map of Handsworth Junction showing a Halt on the Wolverhampton line. The Halt was installed to handle passenger traffic generated by the nearby West Bromwich Albion Football Club. There were four platforms provided, three seen on the junction itself with a footpath and passenger bridge spanning both sets of tracks and a fourth (the down platform) which was between Halfords Lane and Middlemore Road. A footpath can be seen running from Halfords Lane to the platform.
