GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

GWR 'Dean Single' 4-2-2 No 3060 John G Griffiths stands at Knowle & Dorridge station heading a train to London via Oxford circa 1911. Built at Swindon in April 1895 No 3060 would have been fresh from the shops having had a new boiler fitted in June 1911. Originally named Warlock, No 3060 was renamed John G Griffiths in March 1908 a name it carried until March 1914 when it too was removed, a year before locomotive was withdrawn from service in March 1915.
