View of the Lapworth station's name board which was erected in the 1930s when the station was rebuilt. The nameboard was constructed from timber planking with a timber surround and raised letters also constructed from timber. This station name board was mounted on concrete posts which was an improvement on earlier timber posts models. However the left hand post shows sign of decay as the concrete has blistered on the corners exposing the reinforcement. 2nd December 1961
