GWR 4-6-0 No 4996 'Eden Hall', at the head of an up express service, is seen waiting for the right of way. Built at Swindon works to Lot 268 in March 1931 No 4996 remained in service until it was withdrawn in September 1963 from Taunton shed to be scrapped by Coopers Metals of Sharpness in June 1964.
