GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Ex-GWR Modified Hall 4-6-0 No 6973 'Bricklehampton Hall' arrives at Leamington with a down express circa 1952. The newly modified down platform which had its face moved forward when the short siding had been removed can be seen. Built by Swindon works in October 1947 No 6973 was to remain in service until August 1965 when it was withdrawn from 82E Barrow Road shed in Bristol to be scrapped by J Cashmore's of Newport.
