GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

GWR 72xx Class 2-8-2T No 7226 is seen stabled on the siding adjacent to the coaling stage road on 4th December 1938. Rebuilt by Swindon works from a 42xx class locomotive in November 1935 No 7226 remained in service until November 1964 when it was withdrawn from Aberdare Shed to be scrapped in March 1965 by Dai Woodhams of Barry Docks.
