Close up of image 'gwrls850' showing a variety of coaching stock stabled on the through lines and the signal box and water tank. The lines passing through the station had a more pronounced curve than was at first apparent in drawings of the layout. Above the passenger footbridge the roof of the signal box can just be seen and above that the tall water tank which provided the numerous water columns in vicinity of the station. The tank was located by the site of the original turntable in front of the original engine shed.
