British Railways built 4-6-0 Castle class No 7012 'Barry Castle' sits at the up home signal waiting for the off to Oxford on 28th September 1963. Gerry Batchelor writes "It is at the head of a Wolverhampton to Margate Saturday Only express which were regular turns for Wolverhampton's Castles although when locomotives were in short supply you never quite knew what would turn up." Built at Swindon works in June 1948 and remained in service until November 1964 when it was withdrawn from Oxley shed in Wolverhampton and scrapped in February 1965 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
