GWR Route: Stratford on Avon to Honeybourne

British Railways built 4-6-0 Castle class No 7028 'Cadbury Castle' is seen passing through the station on 3:45pm Snow Hill to Swansea service on 5th May 1956. Running non-stop between Stratford on Avon and Cheltenham the scheduled formation of this train in the Winter timetable was five coaches with a Van Second and Second at both ends and a Composite coach in the centre. Built at Swindon works to Lot 375 in May 1950 No 7028 remained in service until December 1963 when it was withdrawn from 87F Llanelly shed to be scrapped during August 1964 by Barlborough Metals of Briton Ferry.
