GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

A shock absorber covered wagon being moved on the four rail, thirty ton traverser in low level shed B. This traverser ran the complete width of shed B (256 feet) and could connect to any of the eight parallel lines of sidings in the shed and the twenty ton wagon hoist. Two electrically powered traversing carriages were provided, which could be operated simultaneously. The time to traverse the full width of the shed was under one minute. On the otherside of the wall on the left was Park Street and the staircase here lead up to the high level warehouse.
