Moreton-in-Marsh to Stratford upon Avon Tramway: gwrmt3114

The saw mill, Stratford upon Avon, viewed from the Tramway bridge on a summer's day in 1899. These premises were once served by a tramway siding which terminated next to the crane. The cottage, partly seen on the left, was a former toll house. One past resident of Stratford recalled playing on the tramway as child in the 1880s, and hitching rides on 'the tram' to Cox's timber yard. Commodities remembered by him included timber and coal.
