GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Ex-GWR 0-6-2T No 6604 is seen on a trip working, shunting Solihull goods yard in January 1962. It was photographed from the Streetsbrook Road overbridge. A member of the 56xx class, No 6604 was in service from September 1927 to October 1965 when it was withdrawn from 89B Croes Newydd shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore's of Great Bridge. At the time of this photo, No 6604 was allocated to Tyseley (84E).
