British Railways built 2-6-2T 5101 class large prairie No 4161 standing in front of the engine shed on 20th September 1958. The Line in foreground was laid when the Midland shed was closed in July 1957 to provide extra storage space in the shed for the transferred locomotives. No 4161 was built after nationalisation at Swindon Works in September 1948 as part of lot 369. The engines in this lot had a new design of superheaters fitted. Their main work continued to be local suburban passenger duties in the West Midlands area, but they were displaced by the introduction of diesel multiple units. No 4161 was withdrawn in November 1965 from Worcester shed (85A) and scrapped in July 1966 by J Cashmore of Newport.
