Ex-GWR 2-6-0 43xx class No 6306 is seen passing Stratford on Avon Junction Signal Box with a four-coach Worcester to Birmingham service on Saturday 7th April 1951. In the background above the locomotive the former SMJ station and goods yard can be seen. Built at Swindon works to Lot 21 in December 1923 No 6306 remained in service until November 1961 when it was withdrawn from 89B Croes Newydd shed to be scrapped during December 1961 by Swindon works.
