An oblique view of the coaling stage erected at Stratford-upon-Avon in 1911 on the opening of the North Warwickshire line and the doubling of the line on the route to Honeybourne. The timber hut, built from life expired sleepers, is obviously a mess hut as evidenced by the salt glazed chimney above the roof line. The lamppost is clearly gas list, the burner being seen beneath the lantern glass.
