GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Ex-GWR 4-6-0 No 6856 'Stowe Grange' is seen passing through the up main platform at the head of an empty stock working from Tyseley carriage sidings on 7th May 1960. On arrival at Snow Hill the carriages would be split to make up two local evening services. Built at Swindon works to Lot 308 in November 1937 No 6856 remained in service until November 1965 when it was withdrawn from Worcester shed to be scrapped in January 1967 by J Cashmore of Newport.
