GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

View of Small Heath and Sparkbrook station after quadrupling along the up relief platform whilst a train from Moor Street is arriving in the distance. In addition to the quadrupling of the four principal lines additional goods line were lain alongside the relief lines to reduce the number of movements on the main and relief roads. A goods train made up of a mix of open and cattle wagons and headed by an unidentified GWR 0-6-0PT is seen heading towards Bordesley. The illuminating the platform are lampposts which are gas lit as seen on the original station.
