Shirley Station: gwrsh2899

Ex-GWR 2-6-2T No 4127 stands at Shirley station with a down local passenger service on 8th June 1957. A member of the 41xx Class, No 4127 was rebuilt by Swindon works from a 31xx Class locomotive to Lot 313 in May 1938 and remained in service until January 1963 when it was withdrawn from 86E Severn Tunnel Junction shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Newport.
