Ex-GWR 4-6-0 Grange class No 6861 'Crynant Grange' is seen at the head of a down West Country express service as it passes through the station. Built at Swindon works in February 1939 No 6861 remained in service until October 1965 when it was withdrawn from Tyseley shed to be scrapped in March 1966 by G Cohen of Kettering.
