Looking from the down platform towards the up platform structure which was accessed from the down platform by the passenger footbridge in April 1963. In the distance, adjacent to the road bridge, a timber staircase can be seen rising up to the road. Passengers not needing to visit the booking office on the down platform could use this as an alternative entrance or exit.
