Tyseley's double sided coaling station with two elevated
sidings passing through the centre with a large water tank overhead. The coal
was carried to the coaling station via loco or coal wagons and then transhipped
into coal tubs which ran at 90° to the rails. The coal tubs would then be
ran out on rails over the locomotive and tipped into the tender or bunker. The
steps led up to a desk where the chargehand would note the coal being delivered
and tipped into the locomotives.
