Tyseley Shed: gwrt341

GWR 4-4-0 Bulldog class No 3450 'Peacock', an outside-framed locomotive, stands in Tyseley shed's yard ready for service circa 1933. Built at Swindon works in November 1909 the tapered boiler gave the locomotive a more modern appearance than the Dukedog class that utilised its frames. Peacock remained in service until December 1949 when it was withdrawn from Stourbridge Junction shed to be scrapped during March 1950 by Swindon works.
