BR built 4-6-0 Castle class No 7013 'Bristol Castle' is seen at the head of a Birmingham to Paddington express in 1962. Built at Swindon in July 1948 No 7013 later swapped identities with No 4082 'Windsor Castle' before being withdrawn as a Tyseley engine in March 1965 to be scrapped by Cox & Danks, Park Royal in June the same year. Rod Liddiard, ex-Tyseley and Old Oak Common fireman writes, 'Its worth mentioning that Bristol Castle was originally No 4082 Windsor Castle and the oldest castle in service. The Kings were withdrawn from the Birmingham to Paddington service in September 1962 at the commencement of the winter service. Looking at train reporting number it is 'V05' which was the 8:50 am Birkenhead to Paddington service which departed at 12 noon from Snow Hill station.
