GWR 4-6-0 Castle class No 5081 'Lockheed Hudson' is seen passing Budbrook on Paddington to Shrewsbury express in September 1941. This is one of a number of wartime photographs taken around the region by VR Webster a collection now in the care of the Kidderminster Railway Museum. Built at Swindon works as No 5081 'Penrice Castle' in May 1939 it was renamed in January 1941, one of a number of locomotives named in response to the need to help raise the moral of the country, and remained as such until October 1963 when it was withdrawn from Cardiff East Dock shed to be scrapped during June 1964 by R Hayes of Bridgend.
