Ex-British Railways built 4073 Class No 7029 'Clun Castle' heads a down freight through Warwick in July 1966. Built by Swindon works to Lot 375 in May 1950, No 7029 was to remain in service until December 1965 from 85B Horton Road shed Gloucester to be preserved. By this time Warwick station had been denuded with the removal of the canopies. Canopies were high maintenance items and presumably were in need of some attention Station signage had also been updated with the British Rail corporate style of black lettering on a white background.
