Looking towards Birmingham and Highfield Road bridge showing the station in the final years of steam operation on the line. The station sign is now devoid of reference to 'Platform' as was seen in the 1930s view. The sweep of the path down from the road to the down platform can be seen whilst opposite, on the front of the up (left) bridge abutment is a 70 mph speed restriction sign.
