LMS Route: Trent Valley Line
Brinklow Station: lnwr_brin1100
An unidentified LMS 4-6-0 Royal Scot class locomotive is
seen on a down express as it passes Brinklow goods shed and yard circa 1935.
The London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) commissioned the Royal Scot Class
in 1927 in response to the need to reduce double-heading with less powerful LMS
4-4-0 Compounds or ex-LNWR Claughton or ex-L&Y Dreadnought classes on West
Coast express services.
