View of the down platform looking towards Nuneaton station showing the rear of the station and steps to the platforms circa 1950. The booking hall was located in the centre of the building with entrance door facing out on to the road (as seen in image 'lnwr_brin1099') and with a window (as seen above) facing over the tracks. Access to the platforms were via the corrugated-iron covered steps. One side of the building would have been used for the stationmaster and booking clerk and the other side would be used for passengers. In all probability the booking hall would be used as a general waiting room with a ladies-only waiting room being provided with en-suite toilet facilities. On the left a small timber structure can be seen used as a passenger waiting room. The station was never busy and if it had not been located on a busy mainline it would not have been out of place on a sleepy rural branch.
