Looking from the bridge above Station Road and Woodshires Road towards Foleshill with Coventry Gas Work's Gasometers on the right. This photograph was taken on 28th June 1950 and shows the station buildings still intact albeit boarded up at the windows and across the entrance to the gentlemen's toilets. For whatever reason only one gas lamppost remains in place, that situated next to the gentlemen's toilets, all the rest having had the top section including the glass lantern removed. The barrow crossing in the foreground enable station staff to carry baggage from one side to another and passengers to cross the line to purchase their tickets. Access to the station was via a ramp which ran from the pathway on the left down to Station Road and via steps leading down from the path on the right to Woodshires Street. This can be seen on all maps such as 'lnwr_le3418'.
