An Edwardian view of Shilton station showing the platforms on the left and the single line goods yard on the right. Whilst the layout of Shilton initially looked very similar to Brinklow there were two key differences, the down relief road and the location of the sidings which were parallel to the platforms at Shilton. The down platform passenger waiting room appears to be more basic than the structure seen 50 years later. C1905
