An unidentified ex-Midland Railway 0-4-0T '1528' class locomotive has been overwhelmed by its load of coal wagons

An unidentified ex-Midland Railway 0-4-0T '1528' class locomotive has been overwhelmed by its load of coal wagons. The date and circumstances as well as the locomotive's number are not known but as all of the ten class members survived well into British Railways ownership, the first being withdrawn in 1957 and the last being withdrawn in 1966, the damage could not have been too great. Evident amongst the LMS wagons are 'Amington & Glascote' private owner wagons. The ten locomotives were built in two batches and all at the Midland Railway's Derby Works: the first five, Nos 1528 to 1533 were built in 1907 on Derby order number 3031, and the second five, No 1534 to No 1537, were built in 1921 and 1922. There were only minor detail differences between the two batches.
