View of the 1894 drawing showing the layout of Birdingbury station and goods yard with private level crossing to the left. The access road to the station was off Bourton Lane which ran towards Leamington a short distance before passing under the railway The scale plan, prepared in the 1880s and updated to the 1950s, shows two small lever stages, one on each platform. These slotted the running signals, and allowed station staff to work the running signals even when the Signal Cabin was closed. When the Signal Cabin was open, they were left pulled.
