Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 45579 'Punjab' is seen starting away from Platform 9 on a semi-fast express train to Gloucester on 1st July 1961. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in September 1934 No 45579 was to remain in service until August 1964 when it was withdrawn from Derby shed to be scrapped in November 1964 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
