Ex-LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 No 61318 and British Railways Standard Class 9 2-10-0 No 92164 stand together under the lee of Queens Drive bridge

Ex-LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 No 61318 and British Railways Standard Class 9 2-10-0 No 92164 stand together under the lee of Queens Drive bridge at the East end of New Street station. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in May 1948 No 61318 was to remain in service until September 1963 when it was officially withdrawn from Immingham shed to be scrapped in March 1964 by RA King & Company of Norwich. However records show that it was in store at Immingham's shed from November 1961. Built at Crewe works in March 1958 No 92164 was to have a very short working life when it was withdrawn in July 1966 from Saltley shed to be scrapped during October 1966 by Draper Ltd of Hull.
