LNWR 0-6-2T 'Watford Tank' No 16 is seen at Platform One
standing at the head of a local passenger service to Coventry circa 1910. When
first built this class did not have coal rails and this addition significantly
increased its range. A full day's work appears to have been anticipated on the
evidence of the amount of coal piled high in its bunker. Taking water would
however be a problem as access to the 1420 gallon tanks was on top of the
bunker now buried beneath the coal.
