Passengers arriving or departing by tram car are now provided with protection from the elements by the lean-to shelter installed alongside the tram line's passing loop. As seen on the sign fixed to the lamppost, a variety of routes were provided with each categorised by the arterial road the tram car travelled. Therefore Small Heath, Haymills and Yardley all travelled from the city centre via services 14, 57 and 16 along Coventry Road. The columns either side of the entrance to the cab drive way have notices informing drivers to 'KEEP on the LEFT'.
