Brandon & Wolston station name board as displayed by British Railway's use of the Totem sign which would fixed at regular interval to platform lampposts. Prior to British Railways providing the small station nameboards along the station name on one or two large boards. Some railways positioned these at an angle on the platform facing the direction of trains arriving at the stage. In some instances, if at a junction or similar, the running in board would display additional information too such other locations accessed by changing trains. For example see: 'mrbj1320a' for a Midland Railway twin faced example at Broom station's island platform and 'mrna47' for a MR single face example at Nuneaton Abbey Street; a Great Western example at Bearley station can be seen at image 'gwrb440c'.
