LMS Route: Coventry Loop Line

View of Ordnance Co Sidings signal box, its chief purpose being to control the sidings to Morris Engines and the Ordnance works. This photograph was taken after the Second World War and shows the signal with blackout and blast protection still in place. The line, which immediately crossed the canal, can just be seen curving away at the left foot of the signal box. Located near to Swan Lane road bridge the signal box was opened in 1916 and closed on 26th February 1967.
