Ex-LMS 2-8-0 8F No 48287 is seen at the head of an up mineral train passing through platform two ready to take the branch for Leamington. Built as WD No 402 by Beyer Peacock in July 1940 it later received its LMS No 8288 and ran in service until June 1967 when it was withdrawn from Crewe South shed to be scrapped during May 1968 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
