A very dirty ex-LMS 4-6-0 'Black 5' No 44963 is seen passing the junction of the Leamington branch as it arrives at platform two with a down express. Built as LMS No 4963 by Crewe works in June 1946 it remained in service until July 1968 when it was withdrawn from Carnforth shed to be scrapped during October 1968 by G Cohen of Cargo Fleet near Middlesborough.
